Milagros hails from a family of seafarers with a deep history in salting anchovies in Santoña, Cantabria, a town known for its exceptional fishing tradition. Santoña, with its celebrated port, stands as the epicentre of coastal fishing in the region and ranks among the most prominent harbours in northern Spain. The town has rightfully earned the title of the ‘Cradle of the Anchovy,’ thanks to its thriving anchovy fillet industry.
