Naturuel is located in the picturesque stone town of Puebla de Valverde, nestled among mountains. They are not just a business but a community initiative that thrives on dedication and enthusiasm, aimed at revitalizing one of Spain’s most sparsely populated areas by providing employment and retaining residents in a challenging rural environment.

Naturuel’s Duroc Pork is celebrated for its perfect amount of infiltrated fat. This not only enhances the taste but also the nutritional value. Their state of the art curing and freezing premises, preserve the meat’s natural flavours and textures. The cooperative’s commitment to sustainable farming practices not only enhances the quality of their products but also ensures that they are environmentally responsible. This meticulous attention to detail in both farming and production processes results in a product that is superior in both taste and quality.

Commitment to Quality and Sustainability

Inspired by the principles of a circular economy, Naturuel operates in harmony with the environment. The food used by the pigs is produced by 17 cooperatives of over 1,500 small local farmers to produce cereals, which are then used within their network. They are committed to zero waste; 100% of the organic waste generated is either repurposed as organic fertilizer or converted into energy. All farms utilize certified biomass and green thermal energy, ensuring that their operations leave a 0% footprint on the planet. Health, flavour, and sustainability are the core values that drive Naturuel .Teruel is one of the less populated areas in the world, and everybody at Naturuel has to live in the area, boosting local communities. Pig production units are located in areas with no visual value, to protect the great landscape of Teruel and its amazing medieval villages.
