We met Maria, Luis and Elena many years ago at their farm in Carmona, and we fall in love with their product and the philosophy of production.

Aceitunas Losada, a family-owned business based in Carmona, Sevilla, Andalucía, has been a prominent name in olive production since 1961. Founded by José Losada Villasante, the company is now proudly managed by the second generation, continuing a legacy of quality and dedication in the world of olives.

Under the guidance of its founder, Aceitunas Losada has flourished by adhering to core values of honesty, integrity, commitment to excellence, and social responsibility. These principles are not just foundational to their operations; they are woven into every aspect of their business, from cultivation to customer. By controlling every step of the production process, Losada ensures that each olive meets their high standards of quality.

Commitment to Quality and Sustainability

The farms are based in the fertile plains around of the Guadalquivir river, between rivers Corbones and Guadaira. This is one of the bread baskets of Spain, documented since Roman times. Losada's commitment to social responsibility is evident in their sustainable farming practices and ethical business operations. They focus on environmentally friendly techniques that preserve the rich agricultural heritage of Andalucía while ensuring the well-being of their community and the land. This approach not only enhances the quality of their olives but also supports the local economy and environment. Examples of leading techniques in their orchards are the use of “desvareto” (summer pruning), leaving a vegetation cover between trees, long term commitment with 200 olive growers in their region, or their recent organic certification.
